Lasher, by Anne Rice

I picked up this copy at the local thrift store for a couple of bucks thinking I would give Rice a try. After all, she has quite a pile of books. Therefore, if it was any good, I would have some reading material for a while. It was a complete struggle to get through. Nothing about it held my interest. The characters were lame and I couldn’t give a shit about any of them.
Part of the problem of why this book didn’t work for me might be due to the fact that it was the second in a trilogy. Although, in other reviews that I had read, readers said that it did not matter if you had not read the first book.
Sorry Anne, but I won’t be joining your huge fan base. Not that you would probably care.
