Could someone please tell me what in the sam hell is going on in the minds of people these days? Is it that we have been living under the threat of annihilation for so long that we have all turned into quivering idiots? Let me explain:

Dunkin’ Donuts runs an ad on their web site with Rachel Ray wearing a scarf with a black and white pattern. A blog post appears on Little Green Footballs commenting that Ray’s scarf resembles that worn by Muslim extremists. Another blogger, Michelle Malkin, also comments on how the scarf resembles a keffiyeh and is therefore tied to terrorists. Dunkin’ Donuts removed the ad, however, the story continues to gain in attention. It was a fucking scarf with a paisley pattern! Since when has paisley become a symbol for terrorism?
This poor dude got stopped by security at Heathrow airport because his transformer T-shirt was deemed offensive. The only thing I find offensive is a thirty year old man wearing a transformer T-shirt. Are people really this sensitive to feel threatened by a T-shirt depicting a robot with a gun? Where they worried that he was going to try to hijack the plane with his shirt? He was finally allowed to get on the plane by switching his shirt to something less threatening. Something with a Care Bear on it perhaps.
The Alcohol, Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau of the U.S. Treasury Department has its panties all in a bunch over the slogan a California brewer uses for his beer:

The brewing company is located in a little town just south of the Oregon border. Its name is Weed. Here is a statement from the Bureau:
“We consider it to be a drug reference, and find it to be false and misleading to the consumer in terms of what may or may not be the properties contained within that product.”
Does anyone actually think that there is marijuana in this beer? If that is what the feds think then what about, “This buds for you?”

maybe the fed should try some “weed”
