Where is Nina?

There was a lengthy discussion on the In Session forums in regards to how a dead body could fit inside a CRX and go unnoticed. So, if Hans did murder Nina, stuff her in his CRX and dispose of the body, where could he hide her? I’m not familiar with the Oakland Hills area. Thankfully, Google is:

There’s a nice big park, a reservoir and the San Francisco Bay all in reasonable proximity. Sort of makes you start to think that he could have actually pulled this off. I have never said that he may not be guilty. I just don’t think the prosecution proved it. Their case was built solely on circumstantial evidence. We don’t have OJ’s bloody glove. We can speculate on the evidence until the cows come home. The trial is over and now we wait for 12 people to come to some sort of decision. I hope they do it soon – I would like to move on to something else.

Hans Reiser Trial – Update 2

April 24, 2008 · Posted in Rambles · Comment

The jury has been deliberating for two full days now. They have asked to review some exhibits, but no one knows what exhibits they were. The jurors wee given the option of not deliberating on Fridays, so the wait will continue. Most legal anylists predict that they will take at least a week to come back with a verdict.

In the meantime, there is a 20/20 interview available on YouTube.

Mother Nature is a Fracking B*tch!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their summer. Yes, I said enjoyed. Did you miss it? It was last week; beautiful temperatures, sunny skies, and the snow almost melted completely away. Alas, it is over and winter is here once again. It is currently dumping snow. The wind is howling and it is friggin’ cold outside. Al Gore can take his Global Warming and shove it up his sizeable ass!

Update:
It is now 7:30PM and the wind has picked up. The house actually shudders with some of the gusts. And it is a complete blizzard. Perhaps this is the beginning of the next Ice Age. There is one week left in April and if this keeps up, I may have to shovel snow tomorrow. We might have two months of summer this year. I am not happy.

Who Really Won Pennsylvania?

April 23, 2008 · Posted in Politics · 1 Comment

Due to Pennsylvania’s screwed up system of allocating pledged delegates, the answer to that question is still up in the air. The voting is done and the popular vote goes to Senator Clinton. But what about the delegates? Here’s an explanation from the New York Times:

Because of the rules that govern the allocation of Democratic delegates, final results for each congressional district in the state are needed to allocate that district’s delegates. There are seven congressional districts in Pennsylvania with precinct reports outstanding. The Associated Press tells us that those results may not be available for a day or two.
Thus, The Times has only allocated 127 of the state’s 158 delegates. Currently, Hillary Clinton has 64 delegates and Barack Obama has 63. Stay tuned to our delegate page for updates.

Whoa, she’s really creamin’ him!

There is a link in that article to the NYT’s delegate page. It has some pretty interesting information. Not only does it show you the current split of delegates for the states that have already held their primaries or caucuses or primary/caucuses. There is another column of un-allocated delegates. If you click on the ‘Details’ a little window will pop up to let you know when those states will have their conventions. That is when they will decide their delegates. If they haven’t been decided yet, how do we know who won what? Then you have the state of Nevada who had to conduct a do-over in Clark County because to many people showed up. Nevada held their caucus (or primary – I can’t keep up any more) on January 19th – January 19th! And we still don’t know who won what!?!

People we are all in Hell. Why is this so freaking difficult? How about if we voted by placing a penny in piggy-banks with the candidates names on them, dipped our fingers in ink to show that we voted, then dump the pennies into a coin counter and voilia! A winner is chosen.

The Road to the White House – Next Stop: Indiana

April 23, 2008 · Posted in Politics · 1 Comment

Actually, Guam is the next stop – whatever. Well, Senator Clinton got her win in Pennsylvania. A ten point lead over Senator Obama was not exactly a knock out blow. A win is a win and this race for delegates is never going to end. Since it appears that we are going all the way here is the schedule for the remaining primaries:

  1. Saturday, May 3 – Guam
  2. Tuesday, May 6 – Indiana & North Carolina
  3. Tuesday, May 13 – West Virginia
  4. Tuesday, May 20 – Kentucky & Oregon
  5. Sunday, June 1 – Peurto Rico
  6. Tuesday, June 3 – Montana & South Dakota

The totals from Pennsylvania are still being tabulated and I am still waiting for the delegate break down of the 188 delegates up for grab. Politico currently shows Obama with a total of 1720 delegates and Clinton with 1588. Let the mud-slinging commence.
