The Death of the Democratic Party

March 30, 2008 · Posted in Politics · Comment

Amidst pleas, from prominent political leaders in the democratic party, such as U.S. senator, Patrick J. Leahy of Vermont, for Senator Clinton to step down, we now have fighting breaking out in states across the country. There have been record turnouts at every primary and caucus held so far and some states, such as Texas, are still in the process of tabulating the results and the squabbling over delegates has begun to escalate. The situation in Texas has become so fierce that police have had to break up some of the heated exchanges between Clinton and Obama supporters. The tensions between the two candidates has also increased with each side launching attacks against the other. The idea of a “Dream Ticket” with either Clinton or Obama running as President and the other as Vice President is a ridiculous notion. The rift between these two candidates can’t be closed now.

Walkin’ the Dog

March 28, 2008 · Posted in Rambles · 1 Comment

Doodles and I try to go for a walk every day (weather permitting). This is a GPS readout of our stroll through the neighborhood. It’s a nice 3 mile trek past horse pastures and a few homes. Our start point is in the upper right corner. Then we walk down the road to the left and turn around at Red Tail Lane. On the way back home we duck down another county road on the right that dead ends after about a quarter of a mile. We come back down to our road, turn right and head the rest of the way home. Right now with the snow melt it’s pretty muddy.
