Super Tuesday is over. And, as expected, the Democratic nominee is nowhere close to being called. Politico has the following totals for delegates: Clinton: 1000 & Obama: 902
Routt County voters did very well, throwing their support towards Obama; 428 votes versus just 148 votes for Clinton.
I am getting a bit disgusted with the thinking of the female Clinton supporters. It is worrying to me when I ask why someone is supporting Clinton and they answer with, “Because she’s a woman.” This is not a qualifying characteristic for me. Hillary has been in politics for far too long. She is much too entangled in the workings of the White House and I don’t feel that she has the necessary charisma to repair the damage done to our international respectability. Most countries don’t trust us anymore.
Obama = Change. He is a fresh breath of air in Washington. The special interest groups don’t own him. He also doesn’t have to kiss ass to any of the lobbyists. He has an extremely down-to-earth manner that will help bring the United States back into good standing with the international community. He is also not afraid to set a definitive timetable for returning our troops home. Something no other politician has been able to do.
America needs change. Think about it – Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush. That’s 20 years of nothing but the same.
